In 2014, the firm expanded to include a skilled team of specialists and now comprises Jennifer Blaisdell Braden, William (Bill) Simmons, Ken Tuomi, Catherine Lategen, Liesl Mordhorst, and Jesse Milan. With this able group of associates, collectively we have more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Mrs. Burnell is a management professional with an extensive background managing inter-disciplinary teams of professionals in clinical operations, program development and service expansion, quality improvement and service promotion for system-wide outpatient cardiac rehab programs including day-to-day operations, staff development, budget preparation and monitoring, strategic planning and growth within the formal structure of a regional medical system. Specializing in the Heart and Vascular systems her knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular risk reduction, lifestyle change and cardiac rehabilitation programing speaks volumes. She is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach, a proven talent for team building, collaboration and utilizing global thinking to find creative options.
Stuart started his career with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District and spent 14 years honing his construction skills with Morrison Knudsen Company before starting Burnell Enterprises, Inc. in March of 1995. He spent the next 14 years working in cooperation with Hainline & Associates, Inc. out of Seattle. In July of 2009 Mr. Burnell was appointed President of Hainline & Associates, Inc. where he managed the company until January of 2014. In January of 2014 Mr. Burnell joined Enigma Consulting Group, Inc to assist the CEO with expanding the company’s area of expertise and developing new markets for the firm. With over 35 years in the construction industry Mr. Burnell has a full range of experience including program and construction management, contract negotiations to providing expert testimony at mediations and at formal arbitrations. He has testified in both State and Federal courts on construction defects and design related issues for both public and private developments and managed millions of dollars of construction throughout the western United State and Alaska.
With over 23 years of experience in the quality control and manufacturing business primarily related to the aerospace industry. Mr. Tuomi has a solid background in Lean/Six Sigma project management system and problem solving solutions. He also has practical experience implementing the AS9100 Quality Management System QMS and has hands on experience with Faro Platinum equipment.
His direct experience in Manufacturing and Quality Control provides difficult projects with an asset that can identify production related issues and an understanding of the manufacturing process and its many pit falls.
Mr. Simmons has 28 years of experience in the management and monitoring of construction projects, working with general contractors, developers, and owners. He has a complete understanding of construction from all sides of a project. He has been directly involved in the management and inspection of over $500 million in construction for projects such as Safeco Field for the Seattle Mariners to condo and apartments for Universities and private developer’s. These projects often include construction of the infrastructure to support the development.
Over 15 years of experience as a Web Developer and Software Engineer and over 5 years as Technical Lead, Manager, and Mentor. Excellence in turning complex client requirements into elegant and useful functional solutions while helping to cultivate the development and skills of the client’ staff. Improving the overall health of the code base and productivity of the Company. Jesse is excellent working within a team that is always looking for that extra edge, the next idea that adds value to the product, something someone sees for the first time and says “wow”, and something that will increase the bottom line while not sacrificing client satisfaction.
Jennifer’s work history in project management and engineering coupled with her education have developed her strong project management and problem-solving skills. Her exposure through co-op work programs as well as classroom Projects honed her team-based approach to project and program management. Her employment experience includes project management, contract administration, procurement, change order management, estimating, expediting, and dispute resolution on projects ranging in value from $1 to $20 million dollars. She has worked on variety of project from public works contracts, commercial buildings, hospitality, medical/office facilities, multi-family and speculative housing developments to private residences. This diversity of projects and experience has prepared her to always be ready to "meet the project requirements"
